Sharp S7: compact smartphone Android One with autonomy up to 7 days

Sharp announced today in Japan its new smartphone as part of the Android One program.

What is known

The device was named Sharp S7 and its main feature is autonomy. According to the manufacturer, the novelty will last from one charge up to 7 days. Interestingly, the smartphone has a 4000 mAh battery. By the standards of 2019, this is not such a large amount, but such results in autonomy were achieved by optimizing the system and the IGZO proprietary energy-efficient display. It is here with a diagonal of 5.5 inches and a resolution of FHD +.

Under the hood of the novelty is a Snapdragon 630 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM (you can expand the memory card). By the way, the same chipset is in the new Sony Xperia 8. The main camera in the device is 12 megapixels (f / 2.0), and the front camera is 8 megapixels (f / 2.2). There is support for electronic stabilization (EIS) and AI functions.

Sharp S7 also boasts IPX5 / 8 water protection, IPX6 dust protection, shockproof housing and a “clean” version of Android 10 with guaranteed three-year updates.

Price and when to wait

Sharp has not yet disclosed the price tag of the novelty. It will be announced before the start of sales in late December. Three colors will be available: peach, silver and gray.

Recall, last month, the manufacturer announced the flagship smartphone Sharp Aquos Zero 2 with a refresh rate of 240 Hz.
