HarmonyOS can replace Android, but will not do it

Despite Huawei's multiple claims, HarmonyOS, as a system for smartphones, remains a dark horse.

On the one hand, Huawei continues to claim that it will not give up Android, on the other, it states that it is ready to transfer its smartphones to HarmonyOS if the problem with sanctions is not resolved.

The head of Huawei Ren Zhengfei (Ren Zhengfei) in a recent interview said that HarmonyOS does not have any problems with functionality, but will not replace Android.

We will continue to use Android

The head of Huawei also lowered his assessment of the company's possible losses due to sanctions this year. If earlier he mentioned losses of $ 20-30 billion, then in a new interview he called a different amount - 10 billion. The explanation for this is to reduce the impact of US sanctions on Huawei.

Recall, recently the Chinese giant published a report on the results of the last quarter. And it turned out that Huawei, despite all the problems, managed to increase sales by almost a quarter.
