PayPal has launched a reward system for blockchain-based employees
PayPal going to introduce a reward system for blockchain-based employees.
World's most popular online payment company PayPal has launched a reward system for employees based on blockchain technology for employees, Cheddar reported, citing Michael Todasco, director of innovation for the company.
According to the source, the program, which was developing for the past six months led the team on innovation PayPal, was launched in mid-November.
Within its framework, employees receive tokens for participation in programs related to the implementation of innovative solutions and their ideas. These tokens are valid only within PayPal and can be traded through a public registry.
Michael Todasco compared the reward system with Venmo, a mobile payment service using public and private social channels. For example, company employees may like and leave a comment regarding any innovation activities carried out within PayPal.
Received tokens can be exchanged for more than 100 "life experiences" - play poker with the company's vice president, have a coffee or go for a run with finance director John Rainey or even participate in morning martial arts classes with PayPal CEO Dan Shulman. It is also possible for one day to lend a dog to a top manager of the company.
Note that in January of this year, Dan Shulman called the “inefficient way to transfer value,” and after just a month it became known that PayPal is developing its own system of instant cryptocurrency payments.
