Huawei is developing its own OS for smartphones to get away from Android

Huawei has confirmed the development of its own operating system, which should replace Android in their smartphones.


Bruce Lee (Top level Manager) announced it, who is the vice president of Huawei and who heads the direction of mobile phones, in his own Weibo account, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter.

According to him, the operating system called Kirin OS is now "under development". Additional details Bruce Lee on the new OS is not reported.

According to preliminary data, Huawei Kirin OS debuted in the summer of 2018, but something went wrong and it was postponed.
